We offer a 30-minute free consultation via Zoom, phone, or for a walk on a nearby trail. This is for us to learn more about you and your science communication goals.

After our Introductory call, we will create a proposal of services that details how we can help with your goals.

Meet the Founder
she can’t wait to meet you and talk science
Rachel Damiani founded Ecotone Science Writing & Photography, LLC in 2022 after receiving her Ph.D. in communication, M.A. in mass communication with a concentration in science/health, and B.S. in biology from the University of Florida. This educational background allows her to speak conversantly with scientists from a variety of backgrounds, while her varied professional experiences equip her to communicate your science to non-experts. Rachel has worked as a science communications specialist for a large university, a freelance writer for local and national outlets, and a research assistant in multiple biology laboratories. Her sole and co-authored stories and articles have been published in a variety of outlets, from Ecology to the Washington Post. She welcomes the opportunity to work with clients in the Research Triangle area and beyond North Carolina to craft stories about science that can connect us. Rachel enjoys learning about your research, goals, and favorite ecotones.
